Additional Information

Have you ever worked as a recruiter or in sales for a staffing or recruitment agency? Ever secretly told yourself that if you owned your own recruitment firm, that it would rival the world’s best? Maybe you aren’t aware, but there are several recruitment firms that are franchise operations, which are easily accessible, giving you all of the power and flexibility to help make your recruitment firm successful. Personnel and Staffing needs will continue steady growth over the next five years, with the expectation that the unemployment rate in our nation will cease to decline. Success and prosperity for the industry are largely due to a continued labor force and the mentality of businesses to restructure and employ. Most often, when people think about employment and staffing they think about general office and administrative positions. However, employment and staffing franchises operate in virtually all industries, and broader industry trends can point you towards which areas will grow next. For instance, according to The Atlantic, healthcare is now the United States’ largest employer. What does that mean for employment and staffing franchises? More employers are looking to engage them to find talent. Staffing Agencies provide employers with employees that will fill 2 types of positions; temporary to permanent hire and direct hire. The temporary to permanent hire position assists the employer by providing the opportunity to monitor the employee's performance and thereby deciding whether or not to hire the employee on a permanent basis. The direct hire position is for permanent jobs within the company. The staffing agency takes care of finding viable candidates who will be hired as permanent employees by the hiring company. There are a variety of Personnel and Staffing agencies that exist in the industry. The services offered for vetting a potential candidate include resume screening, job interviewing and assessment testing. The services and fees paid to a staffing agency vary from agency to agency. There are 2 common types of fee structures for a staffing agency. The first type of fee is hourly and paid by the hiring company. An example of this would be a $35 hourly rate charged to the employer where the employee gets $25 per hour from the staffing agency with the remaining $10 remaining with the staffing agency. The second type of fee is a one-time fee. This is typically a direct hire for a specific full-time job and charges the employer (hiring company) anywhere from 10% to 30% of the hired employees starting salary. These fee structures are typical and offer the hiring company saved time and money. Advantages for employers who are outsourcing their employee hiring needs include but are not limited to the following: time saved reviewing the applications for potential candidates, money saved on assessment testing, drug testing, and criminal background checks. Long-term savings for the company are payroll and benefits for the employee that are managed by the staffing agency.
