Products & Services
We have two business models: Spherion Technology, which concentrates on staffing information technology-centric positions, and General Staffing, which connects job seekers and employers in light industrial, administrative, non-clinical healthcare, educational support, customer service, hospitality, sales and marketing.
We guide job candidates through the application and interview process. On the client side, we offer temporary staffing, temp-to-hire, direct hire, and managed workforce solutions.
Staff is a business’s most expensive but valuable asset. Clients use our services to realize significant operating efficiencies and cost savings. This means there is demand for our services whether the economy is up or down. According to Staffing Industry Analysts, the staffing industry is expected to grow 6% and reach a record $216.8 billion in total revenue in 2023.
Contract workers represent about 8% of the total workforce. Support & Training
New Spherion franchisees receive more than 380 hours of training/support for planning and opening your franchise. Our corporate support includes in-person and web-based training for sales, marketing, human resources, and back office expertise. No owner opens their doors less than fully prepared to go to market.
Spherion also requires all new franchisees to attend our new owner boot camp at our corporate offices in Atlanta, GA. This one-week training curriculum reinforces Spherion’s proven operating practices, quality philosophy and culture while building your recruitment and business development skills in a collaborative environment with other new Spherion franchisees.
Once you open your office, we join you for 80 hours in the first month of operation to continue building your confidence as a new staffing business owner through sales and operations skill development. This additional in-person assistance helps you jump-start revenue growth while making room for you to focus on clients and candidates from the start. We offer concurrent training to your new and seasoned staff members to support their professional development and ensure a fast start to productivity and revenue generation.
Spherion’s training curriculum continues with monthly online events about technology, recruitment, compliance, safety, workforce trends and business development. We never stop assisting our owners and their teams with their professional growth in pursuit of ever-greater business success.

The Ideal Spherion Franchise Candidate
The ideal Spherion franchise owner is an entrepreneurial-minded person who desires to be their own boss with the support and resources a national company can offer. While we prefer some level of business experience, our franchisees come from all walks of professional life: business, finance, education, law, retail, sales, and more. Sales experience is required.
We have military veterans, first-generation business owners, and multi-generational owners in our franchisee family. Spherion franchisees employ a strong work ethic and collaborative leadership strategies to create a legacy while providing employment opportunities that better the communities in which they live.
Explanation of Fees and Payments
Spherion’s franchise fee is a one-time $40,000 charge with discounts and incentives for select applicants. We offer discounts for US military veterans and members of SBA-recognized ethnic minority groups.
Your startup costs include initial operating capital and internal staff expenses. Back office payroll and billing support so you can focus on sales and team development rather than cash flow and administration.
We reduce upfront cash flow requirements by funding the owners' temp staff payroll, providing all back office services, managing tax and insurance requirements, and funding accounts receivables for 60 days at zero interest. This allows franchisees to use capital for staff and business development, and focus on revenue-generating activity. Our compensation model is a "split" or commission paid to the owner monthly, based on gross profit generated by the franchise client billing. Spherion Staffing & Recruiting Owner Satisfaction Report
Franchise Business Review has worked with over 1,100 franchise systems. We independently contact all open and active franchisees and invite them to participate in our satisfaction survey. Only the brands that exceed our satisfaction benchmark are displayed on our website. Spherion Staffing & Recruiting conducted their franchise review with US franchisees in July 2022, and collected feedback from 84% of the active 75 franchisees (54).
