Scenthound to Open New Grooming “Scenter” in Marietta
Locally Owned Membership-Based Dog Wellness Concept to be Opened by Air Force Veteran
MARIETTA, Ga. – Scenthound, the brand famous for its wellness-based dog grooming and routine care services, is happy to announce the opening of its newest Georgia location, opening in Marietta late-October. Located at 3162 Johnson Ferry Rd., the new business will be owned and operated by local resident, Rashaun Forrest and his wife, Dr. Georgia Forrest. This will be the first Scenthound location the couple will open in Cobb County, with four additional locations slated to open in the near future.
Rashaun, an Air force veteran with previous franchising experience in the food and real estate industries, became invested in the Scenthound brand out of his sheer love for dogs. With the help of his wife, a local physician, the couple now looks to offer Marietta pet parents an easy and affordable way to carry on the routine maintenance of their dogs.
“We hope to provide an essential service for pet parents who might not realize the importance of caring for their dog on a routine basis,” said local owner Rashaun Forrest. “To establish a new black-owned business in the community that serves those looking to give their dogs the best life possible makes us immensely proud in what we do.”

Clean Start was established to help local rescue dogs get the basic care needed to stay clean and healthy. The program provides local shelters and rescue organizations with free grooming services for dogs waiting to be adopted.
