The Flying Locksmiths has been in business for over 70 years! Our experience and business education are two of the main components that create the framework of The Flying Locksmiths leadership team. It began with William McMenimon Sr., working out of his Jeep with one key machine in 1946. He was training to become a pilot and working as a locksmith, hence the reason for the unusual name!

Join the TFL Family!
The Flying Locksmiths (TFL) is a white collar business management franchise in an industry that has been fragmented for decades with “mom & pop” operators. Our only national competitor is nearly sold out in the US. This is a perfect time to invest in a business that is recession-resistant in a market that includes but is not limited to:
Property managers
Security integrators
Service companies
Businesses with multiple storefront locations
Contractors
Realtors
Schools
Restaurants
Gas and energy providers
Day care centers
Nursing homes and healthcare providers
The Flying Locksmiths has been in business for over 70 years. Our experience and business education are two of the key characteristics of our strong leadership team. We are an all-inclusive security provider, delivering services ranging from simple locks and keys, all the way to card access systems, full door replacements, panic devices, door closers and fully integrated master key systems.
Our business is 90% commercial and 10% residential. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide incredibly fast service, while maintaining a friendly, can-do atmosphere in our national call center and on job sites.
Our locksmith franchise model is adaptable in three ways:
An owner operator model (not working in the van).
A transitional model from another career.
A straight ROI model with a general manager running the business day to day.
We have opportunities for franchise owners looking to scale a business and manage a P & L versus working in the field. Our national call center handles all customer inquiries through a toll free number and schedules the jobs through our centralized system.
We are family owned and operated since 1946, so you can expect a hands-on approach when opening your franchise. Full training and ongoing support are provided to all new franchise owners. Ultimately, your own success is in your hands, but we will use every resource at our disposal to help you achieve it. By starting a TFL franchise, you are not just purchasing a franchise, you are becoming part of our family!
