Kernels currently has 65 stores in Canada spanning seven provinces. Of the 65 stores, seven are corporate and the balance are franchised locations. You'll find a Kernels in virtually every major mall in the country, with no major competitors to the Kernels concept either in Canada, or anywhere else in the world.

Kernels Popcorn is available in a whole bunch of extraordinary flavours to suit any taste. From the romantic nuances of Cinnamon and Caramel in Love Potion, the robust mix of Caramel, Orange and Raspberry in Autumn Harvest, and the flattering combination of Double Butter and Almonds in Butter Me Up Almond to the cool sinfulness of Peppermint and Chocolate in Irish Mint, and all the traditional stand-alone faves like Creamy Caramel and Double Butter in between, Kernels offers an endless variety of flavour combinations all made fresh, daily at each and every Kernels store. The Kernels Magic
Essentially, the magic of the Kernels system is that each and every store (or cart) is a micro-manufacturing facility, producing fresh popcorn, and popcorn related products (Brittles, Paws, Awesome Blossoms, etc. etc. etc ...). Aside from the growing number of in-line and kiosk outlets operating in major retail malls, Kernels has developed the Kernels Extraordinary Popcorn Cart. Debuting with great success at the Toronto International Film Festival, in the fall of 1997, the Kernels Extraordinary Popcorn Cart functions as a self sufficient and portable retail unit offering up the magic of Kernels popcorn in non-retail settings such as Sports Stadiums, University Campuses, Cafeterias, Hospitals and Trade Shows.

That's why, since our inception, we have been hard at work creating an expanded menu of flavours and an impressive array of innovative new products. Are You a Good Fit for Kernels Popcorn?
A Kernels franchise is a business that requires and responds to the personal input and attention of the owner. That is why we specifically look for owner/operators. We strongly feel that the franchisee should be personally involved in every facet of the business, from store operations to wholesaling and corporate sales. Owner/operators will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of products remain high, the right staff are selected, promotions are handled correctly, and so forth. One of the main components of a franchisee's success is the human factor. As in any successful business, especially retail, and especially Kernels, the "Public Relations" aspect is paramount, from selling the promotions, to relationship building with the customer.
