Products & Services
Coffee Time sponsors local hockey, soccer and beach volleyball teams and helps to fund an estimated 175 events and community organizations annually. We are a vigorous supporter of the Scarborough Hospital Foundation.
As well, Coffee Time’s annual golf tournament has raised to date over $305,000 for several Ontario-based hospitals, and also for many other charitable organizations including The Heart & Stroke Foundation, The Hospital For Sick Kids, The Rose Cherry Home and Cystic Fibrosis Foundations.
Training & Support
As a Coffee Time franchisee, you must successfully complete a four-week training program at our Toronto Training Centre. Our programs covers all aspects of owning and operating your very own franchise and covers the following areas:
- Standardized accounting and payroll packages.
- General operations, baking and product display manuals.
- Product knowledge.
- Hands-on baking and food preparation.
- General retail management.
- Staff relations and communications.
- Sales and merchandising.
- Administration.
Once training is successfully completed, you will be prepared to operate the Coffee Time business.
Once you have opened your doors for business, you will not be alone. The on- going support programs at Coffee Time include periodic training seminars for the franchisee and staff, an appointed “Field Consultant” for your store, technical support and open lines of communication with the corporate support team
Coffee Time works hard to support your success. We know the importance of location. Our Real Estate personnel go to great lengths to identify locations in areas with the potential for the highest possible visibility, the best suitability to the area’s clientele and most importantly, its potential sales volume. Coffee Time searches for prime locations for your new store and ensures that it meets all the criteria.

We are continually seeking enthusiastic, professional people who have an ability to relate well to both customers and employees. We make an evaluation of an individual’s personality, qualities and characteristics. We look for integrity, honesty, sincerity, initiative and tenacity, just to name a few. Coffee Time wants franchisees that will go into their communities, meet with their customers and market their store aggressively.
The cost of constructing a Coffee Time will vary, depending on the size and type of store to be constructed. The successful applicant must be able to invest a minimum of $50,000 to $100,000 cash or unencumbered collateral, not including capital costs. An application can then be made to a chartered bank or other financial lending institution to finance (subject to their criteria) the balance of the purchase price. There are three types of stores that Coffee Time develops: Kiosk, Satellite and Full-Producing outlets.
