Our People
CPR Certification and Safe Driver Training – It's not a law; it’s not even a policy a lot of transport companies follow. But we’re different. Every Caliber driver is fully certified in CPR/First Aid/AED for adult, child, and infant. But we don’t stop there. Our drivers are first trained in defensive driving, and then are continually tested to ensure the safest driving fleet on the road. Standard drug screening, background checks, and MVR searches (company wide) make for a safe workforce and workplace. Our promise to you is a safe, clean and sensitive environment for you or your clients to ride in. Something the competition just can’t match.
We provide the best-trained drivers. For starters, we only hire drivers with a minimum of two years of experience. Then we provide initial training and continuous education with the latest driver care insights.
First Aid/CPR/AED Standard – You trust our people with your life and the lives of your loved ones. This is something we don’t take lightly. Caliber Patient Care administers American Red Cross® CPR, First Aid, and AED training and certification for every driver and we hold each to a high standard of care.
Certified, Caring People –Our exclusive Transport Care training program covers safe driving, in-care safety, accident avoidance, and patient transport. Every driver will be in uniform, have a photo ID badge, and will look presentable and professional.

FAQs
What is Non-Emergency Medical Transportation?
Non-emergency medical transportation is for patients who require special medical attention while in transit from one location to another, and who do not require medical intervention or treatment or rapid transport to an emergency facility. Medex VITAL is a long distance non-emergency medical transportation service, however we are not a Medicare or Medicaid provider. VITAL is the perfect alternative to the air ambulance, and is a service of CalvertHealth.
Who Uses Non-emergency Medical Transportation?
An ideal candidate for non-emergency medical transportation is a person who is medically stable, yet still requires medical support. For example, a resident of a nursing home who has recently been released from the hospital could use VITAL to return to the nursing home. Or perhaps a chronically ill patient might need medical transportation to get to a specialist in a distant location.
