Our founder and CEO Blake Buchanan started Bahama Buck’s in 1990 in Lubbock, Texas. He continues to work diligently as the President and CEO alongside his business partner and CFO, Eric Lee, and Executive VP Tom Buchanan. Bahama Buck’s has been and continues to be a family business. We began franchising in 1993 and currently have 117 franchised units across the United States and Puerto Rico. We are currently in our 4th consecutive year of AUV expansion and are looking forward to a 5th year!

Our cost of entry is well below other food concepts and we are very efficient with our labor costs.
No one is doing shaved ice as big as we are and we have every support piece in place to continue our rapid expansion.
Shaved ice will be anywhere from 65% to 80% of your book of business and there is almost no product in the world with better margins than frozen water. Expect your COGS % to be close to 24%, this is in stark contrast to the 30-35% you will see in other food service concepts. We’ve coupled our strong financial footing with an industry-leading franchise support team.
Our sole objective at our Support Center is to equip, empower, and encourage our teams to THRIVE. We work closely alongside our Franchise Family both before and after opening to maximize our opportunities in the community.

We are looking for motivated entrepreneurs willing to work in their community to provide the Ultimate Tropical Dessert Experience. Prior food or hospitality service is welcome, but not required.
Training and support from the corporate Support Center are the backbone of our operation. We have a full-service marketing team working full-time on providing and meeting our franchisees’ marketing needs. We also have a dedicated field operations team who work relentlessly to open, train, and improve every single one of our units. We train each individual crew before opening and offer large amounts of video and in-person continued education for our franchisees. We pride ourselves on being the industry standard when it comes to franchisee support. Beyond field operations and marketing, we have many other teams dedicated to supporting our franchisees including video and media, franchise development, special operations, and IT.
Support
Comprehensive Training - Training will consist of in-person training at our Support Center called Bahama Buck’s University. Here, you will learn every aspect of how to efficiently operate a Bahama Buck’s location. From community marketing to making our signature flavors, we will teach you all of it! We also send a field operations team to continue training you and your Avalanche Crew at your location.
Site Selection - We have several real estate teams willing to offer their services to you and your group. Site selection is crucial, and we will do our best to find you the ideal location in your market.
Architectural and design support - Our Project Development team will help you design and layout your shop for maximum flow-through potential. We want to create both an inviting space for your guests and an efficient workspace for your crew.
Marketing - You will receive a dedicated field marketing specialist who will immerse themselves in your community to provide assistance on localized campaigns and activations in your immediate area. You also receive access to our Brand Asset Manager, an online hub with hundreds of different campaigns available for you to seamlessly implement in your area.
Continued Operations Support - We offer Mastermind courses designed to connect you with other operators. These sessions are led by our Director of Operations who has over 20 years managing and operating shops. Our team provides consultations, evaluations, efficiency check- ups, and live support.
