![]() | Do you have what it takes to be the boss? Could you make a business profitable with the solid support of an internationally-recognized brand? If so, Avis has the opportunity for you! We're looking for exceptional entrepreneurs to become an extension of our successful global team. This is a tremendous opportunity to supervise all aspects of an Avis off-airport location, impact our customers' service experience, and supplement your bottom line! As an Independent Operator, you'd be responsible for the growth and success of an Avis location. Hire your own employees, market your operation, and promote the world-renowned Avis "We Try Harder" values. There's no need to make an initial major investment, and no limit to how much revenue you could generate!
![]() | As you build your business, Avis will support your success in every way, and even offer a paid training program! And to help grow your operation, an experienced staff will guide you through training, goal setting, sales and marketing. This team also will be your liaison with the Avis Corporation. Independent Operators are paid a percentage of every dollar of time-and-mileage rental revenue. You also can earn income on optional rental charges like child seats and coverages. An Avis Independent Operator relationship is not a franchise arrangement. Unlike a franchise that requires significant capital expenditure, upfront fees and ongoing royalties for using the company's trademark, you'll be authorized to rent Avis vehicles with no royalty or franchising fees attached. You'll be directly responsible for daily operational costs like staffing, marketing materials, and cost control. Start-up expenses are surprisingly reasonable! About $8,000 typically covers the cost of grand openings, sales material expenses, uniforms, insurance, the first month's employee payroll, and other miscellaneous costs. No need to worry about investing in a fleet of late-model vehicles! Avis will provide the rental cars and will evaluate the consumer demand in your market to determine the size of the fleet.
![]() | Although you don't need specific car rental industry experience, you must be ready and able to provide superior customer service and maintain your cars in tip-top shape. Energetically build your business on a local level by joining the Chamber of Commerce, distributing coupons, or sponsoring a local sports team. If you have previous experience in sales, marketing, business ownership, travel services and/or the rental car business, becoming an Independent Operator could be the lucrative opportunity you've been waiting for. |
