US franchise organization brings movement education to young children worldwide.
Kinderdance® International Inc., a leader in developmental dance, gymnastics and fitness programs for young children, continues to prove that movement programs stand out as a highly popular children’s franchise. Kinderdance® International expands in Canada, awarding a gold area developer franchise to Michelle Uens serving the children in the Eastern Ontario region of Canada.
Michelle has earned dual degrees, the first in Law and Security Administration and the second as a dental assistant. Michelle has extensive experience working with youths in her community. She spent 15 years in the youth justice system working closely to build confidence and provide support for disadvantaged and at-risk children in her community.
Since childhood Michelle has enjoyed ballet and gymnastics. She was in gymnastics for years at a competitive level along with teaching gymnastics to young children for many years. With her passion for dance, gym and movement programs, combined with her love of working with children, Michelle is dedicated to bringing Kinderdance® programs to children in Canada.
“We are excited about Michelle joining our franchise family and look forward to helping her develop her territory. As the Eastern Ontario region grows, we are confident that Michelle will thrive,” says Kinderdance vice president, Karen Maltese.
Kinderdance®, established in 1979, is a worldwide recognized dance, gymnastics and fitness program for children age two to twelve. Its 126 franchisees currently teach over 12,000 children weekly at over 800 various locations in 30 states and nine countries.
Kinderdance® places emphasis on building self-confidence and self-esteem in children through learning to share, lead, interact and respond to others’ needs as well as their own. The programs incorporate the arts, movement, education, music, fitness and the fun of learning into a young child’s life while helping in the worldwide fight against childhood obesity.
The company offers the educational movement programs on-site to child-care centers, recreational centers, churches, fitness centers, corporate child care, community centers, military bases, public and private schools, and many other viable locations.
