Checkers and Rally’s is on the fast lane to Camden and Philadelphia.
Checkers and Rally’s just announced three restaurant openings in Philadelphia situated at 2729 W Hunting Park Ave and 4813-23 Lancaster Ave, and in Camden at 2881 Mount Ephraim Rd. The location will be owned and operated by multi-unit franchisee Dinesh Goswami, bringing a mouthwatering dining experience to the local community. Goswami currently has three Checkers locations in his portfolio, with the new stores in Philadelphia and Camden totaling six restaurants within Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey.
“I am excited to bring more Checkers and Rally’s restaurants to the East Coast within my home market,” said Goswami. “I’ve navigated the industry for years and am looking forward to propelling the brand in these cities. In business, my goal is to achieve success while ensuring the well-being of my team members. Through the implementation of Checkers and Rally’s innovative new prototype and double drive-thru model, we seek to enhance the dining experience of our guests for many years ahead.”
Goswami is a restaurant industry veteran and local entrepreneur who is re-establishing the brand in the Philadelphia market. Goswami comes from an extensive background in banking and finance, having experience with both small and large corporations. Goswami also owns several other franchise concepts on the East Coast, including Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and Popeyes. The latest restaurants in Camden and Philadelphia highlight the continued growth of the brand, with an updated prototype look and a simplified operating model to better serve the community.
“Dinesh’s commitment to the franchise industry defines the entrepreneurial drive we are looking for in our franchisees,” said Robert Bhagwandat, Senior Director of Franchise Development at Checkers Drive in Restaurants. “His goals as an entrepreneur create an environment where each team member is valued, reflected by the continuous improvement of his operations and additional openings. We are confident that all the communities he serves will embrace the new restaurant, making it a go-to destination for delicious food and bold flavors.”
Merged in 1999 to form one concept, Checkers and Rally’s primarily operates through a proven franchise model, in which owners benefit from the brand recognition, operational support and marketing resources. Potential franchise prospects can develop on less than half of an acre, which is half the size of competing drive-thru concepts. Checkers and Rally’s current strategy is targeting select markets throughout the United States, particularly in Wisconsin, Ohio, New York New Jersey, Pennsylvania, California, Las Vegas, Arizona, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
