Bricks & Minifigs Kicks Off Holiday Shopping with Black Friday in October

LEGO® retail/resale franchise announces extended holiday shopping season to make shopping safer for customers

Orem, Utah – Bricks & Minifigs – the one-stop-shop franchise concept for all things LEGO® - has developed a new schedule to help shoppers navigate the new Covid-19 landscape. The brand will begin its Black Friday sales starting at the beginning of October, and will be offering a new special every Friday at participating locations. In November and December, the promotions will continue as “Block Friday” – an ode to the brand’s involvement with LEGO® products.

“We’ve never experienced a shopping season quite like this, so we knew that changes needed to be made to keep our customers safe and provide them with a convenient shopping experience,” stated Bricks & Minifigs CEO Ammon McNeff. “We always put our customers first, and we wanted them to feel at ease about shopping amid the pandemic.”

Promotions will vary from store to store, but many Bricks & Minifigs locations will be offering deals such as buy one bulk bag of LEGO® get one free, buy two baseplates get one free, and buy four ball-figures for $12, among other offerings. Additionally, some stores will also be offering double rewards points on purchases. Many of the new items from the LEGO® product drop will also be available, such as new LEGO® Star Wars, Super Mario, Harry Potter and DOTS sets. Not every store location will be running the same promotion, so customers are urged to check with their local store about any promotional events and specials.

In addition to offering extensive Black Friday promotions, some Bricks & Minifigs locations will also be hosting “trunk-or-treat” events in their store parking lots. Trunk-or-treat is a popular spin on traditional trick-or-treating, but instead of visiting different homes, children go from car-to-car to pick up candy and show off their fun Halloween costumes. Not only will some stores be offering trunk-or-treating, many locations will also be offering scavenger hunts throughout the stores, where the winners will receive special prizes. To comply with local health guidelines, masks will be mandatory and social distancing guidelines must be followed throughout the event. Please check with your local store to ensure they are hosting a trunk-or-treat event.

“Our brand is committed to providing engaging and fun experiences for our customers, and offering some fun, trunk-or-treat events at our locations is just one way we can help spread some joy to our local communities,” added McNeff. “We look forward to our customers joining us for trunk-or-treat and scavenger hunts at our stores and we are eager to help provide families and LEGO® fans with a fun and enjoyable holiday season.”
