More QSRs kick off Lenten promos
More quick-service restaurants are advertising their Lenten specials, including Culver's, Del Taco, Submarina and Wendy's.
Culver's has two new seafood dinners on its menu, including the return of its LTO Northwoods Walleye Dinner. The dinner features two pieces of tempura-battered Walleye, crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw and a roll. Culver's also is introducing the new Cod & Shrimp Combo Dinner, combining the best of its North Atlantic Cod Dinner and its Butterfly Crispy Shrimp Dinner. The new Cod & Shrimp Combo Dinner features a fried cod filet, three crispy butterfly shrimp, crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw and a roll.
Del Taco has announced the return of the Crispy Shrimp Taco, available Feb. 17 for a limited time. The Crispy Shrimp Tacos feature butterflied shrimp dipped in a lime chili batter, shredded cabbage, secret sauce, freshly made salsa and a lime wedge, priced at $1.89. The Crispy Shrimp Taco meal deal sells for $5.99 and includes two Shrimp Tacos, crinkle-cut fries and a drink.
Two other Del Taco seafood offerings returning to the menu include Shrimp and Fries and Fish and Fries. The meal deals includes six pieces of shrimp and fries or two pieces of fish and fries with a drink for $4.99.
Del Taco also had added a new Del Taco Super Special Show on its Facebook fan page, where fans can get a coupon for a free Crispy Shrimp Taco.
Submarina kicks off a new promotion Feb. 16 featuring their signature Tuna Sub. Submarina's Tuna Sub features 100 percent premium, white albacore tuna from Chicken of the Sea blended with mayonnaise and a proprietary blend of herbs and spices, served on a choice of freshly baked bread or in a melt, wrap or salad. In addition, all tuna purchased, sold and processed by Chicken of the Sea is wild caught and dolphin safe.
For a limited time only, Submarina is offering a special $5 after 5 p.m. promotion. Any 6-inch sub, including tuna, chips and regular fountain drink is only $5 at participating locations after 5:00 p.m. The special offer begins Feb.16 and continues through March 31.
Wendy's has brought back its LTO Premium Fish Fillet in time for Lent. Wendy's Premium Fish Fillet uses premium hand-cut fish fillets of 100 percent North Pacific cod coated in a light, crispy Panko breading, topped with leaf lettuce, and served hot with creamy tartar sauce. Wendy's e-mail fan club is featuring a $1 off coupon for the Premium Fish Fillet Combo Meal.
