San Ramon, CA: March 23, 2011: Straw Hat Pizza , the original ‘California Pizza’ since 1959, announced it has opened its 82nd location and newest restaurant in San Jose, California in The Plant shopping center at 81 Curtner Avenue on Monday, March 14th, 2011. The grand opening celebration for the whole community FREE PIZZA DAY will be held Thursday, March 24th from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. with free personal-sized pizza (one per customer) given away and guests may enter to win Free Pizza for a year which will be given to one lucky winner.
“We hope the whole community comes out to enjoy our Free Pizza Day and taste why Straw Hat Pizza has been around for more than 50 years,” said Sanjay Agarwal, franchise owner Straw Hat Pizza San Jose. “Our location is the first in San Jose and boasts the newest look and of course the famous pizza,” he said.
The new Straw Hat Pizza is 3000 square feet with two colorful wall murals depicting the 50 year old pizza brand’s history and its California heritage. Other standout features include a beer and wine sit down bar area, a video game room, 2 HD TVs, a 42 item salad bar and a pizza lunch buffet.
