As part of a multi-pronged support system, Maui Wowi Hawaiian, an international franchise retailer of Hawaiian coffees and smoothies, has called in the “doctors.” The company’s Directors of Regional Support (DRS), or “doctors” as they are often referred to, paid a visit to the brand's headquarters in an effort to plan strategic initiatives and further the success of the company.
The DRS representatives are area developers who act as an extension of the company headquarters by providing hands-on support to franchisees in their territories that will help grow their individual local businesses. They provide one-on-one assistance with grand opening preparations, acquiring events, venue contracts, employee training, and any additional operational support that is needed.
“The DRS program has evolved into a group of people who are invested in the future of this company and who’s role is to guide others along in their journey towards achieving business success,” said Mike Weinberger, Chief Executive Officer of Maui Wowi Hawaiian. “As beacons across the country, the Directors of Regional Support outline the pathway for local franchise owners, while continuing to represent the brand, the products, and the lifestyle.”
Now in its 15th year, the program consists of five Maui Wowi franchisees who represent areas of Minneapolis, Southern California, Houston, Los Angeles, and Southern Ohio. The recent meeting involved a dialogue between the Directors of Regional Support and company executives to outline commitments, discuss upcoming initiatives and additional ways to provide another level of support to franchisees.
