Costa Vida’s Canadian Wave Rolls into Royal Oak
The Fresh Mexican favorite opens third Calgary Area Location on Cinco de Mayo
CALGARY, Alberta. – As Costa Vida Fresh Mexican Grill continues to gain popularity across regions of the United States, a new and increasing demand for the bold and fresh flavors of the Baja Coast is gaining traction in Canada. With locations already open in Airdrie and Southland, Costa Vida will be introducing its third Calgary Area location in the community of Royal Oak on Cinco De Mayo.
Located at 2118-8650 112th Ave NW, just south of Walmart, the grand opening celebration will run from 11am to 9pm. The first 50 people in line on May 5th will receive one free entrée each week for one year. The next 50 people in line will receive one free entrée each month for one year.
The Canadian Costa Vida locations are a franchise partnership between Costa Vida and Landale Services. Landale partner Larry Dugdale stated his company plans to continue Canadian expansion throughout southern Alberta over the coming years. “We believe our restaurants’ fun, light-hearted atmosphere, and fresh made from scratch menu will meet a demand in southern Alberta for fresh, healthy, Mexican cuisine. We can’t wait to share our fare with the folks here in Royal Oak.”
Costa Vida food is made with fresh ingredients and made from scratch, every day. The freshness of these ingredients is guaranteed by the fact that there are no freezers for storage in any Costa Vida location. The menu is inspired by the local cuisine of the Mexican coast and features made-to-order burritos, tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, salads and nachos. Protein choices include sweet pork, grilled chicken, shredded beef, raspberry chipotle chicken, grilled steak, Mahi Mahi fish and shrimp. Entrées are served with cilantro lime rice and black, refried or pinto beans. Homemade guacamole, sauces, and salsas can be used to customize any order. Choices include Salsa Fresca, Mango Salsa and Pico de Gallo. Costa Vida offers a widely gluten friendly menu, with the exception of the flour and wheat tortillas, and the tres leches and key lime pie desserts.
